NE Seattle Tool Library

The NE Seattle Tool Library provides community access to a wide variety of tools, training, and sustainable resources.  By sharing items rather than owning them each individually, we reduce waste and increase  community connections. Any time the Tool Library is open, you’ll find a buzz of activity as members browse the shelves and get advice from the coordinators and each other.

The NE Seattle Tool Library aims to inspire participation in community projects and pursue sustainability through fun projects like backyard gardens, home energy improvements, food preservation, and water harvesting. We also offer repair nights, classes and host community events to advance and celebrate our wonderful and unique community.

With over 5,000 tools in the inventory, and around 2,000 active members. the Tool Library is poised to move into a new building, the La Villa dairy, in the spring of 2018. The expanded space will allow for expanded access to a working shop and more room to circulate.
